The first step in the process is defining the objectives of the end customer. Once we understand their goals and vision, we work them to create the design. This is accomplished by working with our Design Studio and creating the floor, walls, windows and/or sign graphics. We then define the best floor preparation and coatings based upon the condition of the floors and the traffic levels. The Floornique solution can be applied to almost all substrates (concrete, wood, vinyl, linoleum, etc.). The condition of the substrate will be carefully evaluated and a floor preparation program will be developed to ensure maximum performance and appearance. The solution can be applied to both interior and exterior surfaces.

No. It is important to know that any imperfections such as voids, grout lines, grit, scratches, etc. will show through the vinyl. If the substrate is rough, we do have a self-leveling process and some feather-finishing techniques that we use to the smooth the substrate before application of the vinyl graphic.

Yes. This product is easily positioned around corners, in doorways, around curves, etc.

The duration of the product depends on the maintenance of the sealers/finish that is applied as the top-coat. The top-coat protects the graphics underneath. We will pick a top-coat to meet the needs of the traffic levels. Our testing has shown that when maintained, the graphic can last for many years. 

The system holds up very well to foot traffic. When properly maintained, the system is very durable and can last for many years. If damage does happen to the graphic, for example a pallet with an exposed nail is pushed over the floor tearing the graphic, we do have the ability to repair the damage and fix the graphic.

When it is time to remove the product, we simply peel the graphic with the top-coat off the floor and then remove any residual with our cleaning products. The surface will return to the condition it was prior to the Floornique installation.

For almost every substrate, the system will be removed without any change to the original substrate.

We apply top-coats/sealers to protect the graphic from fading. These sealers will resist UV, the weather and traffic. 

The installation time will depend on the substrate, the design and the work we will need to do to prepare the surface. Typically we can do an install overnight and have it ready for traffic the next day.

We have technology for floor stickers and large sheet installations. The main difference is whether or not the graphic is put on top of the top-coat or underneath. If put on top, we apply “Floor Stickers” with a built in laminate to protect the graphics. Stickers are well-suited for short term installations that do not experience heavy traffic or abuse from floor care machines.

Yes. We have liability insurance. It is also important to know that all of our top-coats, finishes, sealers and laminated products are certified safe and come with protections from our suppliers.

Depending on complexity of design, we can go from initial conversation to installation in approximately 2 weeks time.
